Min Woo Lee takes a two-shot lead into the second round of the 2026 Tour Championship. He shot a bogey-free 62 in round one at East Lake Golf Club.
This is Lee’s first appearance in the FedEx Cup Playoffs finale. He made eight birdies during his opening round.
Lee’s 62 put him ahead of Viktor Hovland, Collin Morikawa and Chris Gotterup. Each of those three players finished round one two shots back.
Hovland shot a six-under 64 on Thursday. He made it into the Tour Championship field by finishing 26th in the final FedEx Cup standings.
Hovland previously won the FedEx Cup in 2023 after a late run through the playoffs. He now sits tied for second heading into round two.
Friday’s Final Pairing
- Lee and Hovland will play together in the last group of round two. Their tee time is set for 2 p.m. ET on Friday.
- Morikawa and Gotterup will tee off just before Lee and Hovland. Their pairing starts at 1:48 p.m. ET.
- World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler also had a strong start. He shot a 65 in round one to move into contention.
- Scheffler is paired with Ludvig Åberg for round two. Their tee time is 1:24 p.m. ET.
- Cameron Young will play alone in the opening tee time of the day. His planned playing partner, JJ Spaun, withdrew from the tournament.

Round two begins at 11 a.m. local time in Atlanta. Cameron Young starts the day at 11 a.m., followed by Kristoffer Reitan and Russell Henley at 11:12 a.m.
